"My time at BPA Performing Arts College genuinely changed me, preparing me for dance university and teaching me that struggling just means I need patience and practice. While my strengths were in commercial and hip-hop, I initially struggled to pick up choreography quickly and doubted myself. By trusting the process, I overcame this and allowed teachers like Grace and Kelly to help me build stamina and technique in new styles like ballet and jazz.
I had to apply this same patience to singing, an area that initially caused me severe insecurity and frustration. Working with Dan and Molly transformed my vocal technique and confidence, helping me realize I had something worth sharing and allowing me to finally enjoy singing. Ultimately, applying these lessons in productions—especially taking ownership of our collaborative, student-led Matilda the Musical—was a massive highlight that brought everything together."
